Thinking alone is hard!

That I called this blog Herdwatching should give you a hint about the kind of thing I find both amusing and sad in the world today.

When you are trying to evaluate the activists’ you see every day one of the traits you should look for is whether they have convictions of their own or are they just looking to conform. Is their philosophy so random and full of crap that they are paralyzed to make a decision in case their new peer group won’t approve? Some sample bleating…

“is it counterfeminist to donate hair to “cancer”? does it undercut support for shorthaired or nohaired women? does it diminish, or minimize somehow, the important life-or-death struggle, the day-to-day ordeal, all the stuff I’ll never understand unless (or until) it happens to me?” …

“or is it counterfeminist to say to a woman who has enough to worry about already – “oh, don’t worry – hair on women is a construct of patriarchy. hey, sorry about your chemo…” - the ‘antiprincess’ in context

Here’s a thought … make up your own mind instead of taking a poll of your peer group. Most of them are just looking for a way to blame you for something anyway.
