In a previous post I mentioned that there is a general feeling of self loathing that ties together many of the extreme activist community. They are all, seemingly, trying to find a way to not exist. They wish to be subsumed into their fellow human in some cases by exchanging individuality and free thought for group think and in other cases the more directly simply want to die and take us all with them.
There was a post on Digg about a fairly predictable and stupid video that portrays the Earth (you know, the whole planet… a hunk of iron essentially) as aliving thing with feelings and how bad we humans are for existing on it. Most of the replies were your run of the mill anti-human and anti-capitalism stuff. But every now and then you get someone who is so far gone that they say flat out what the others won’t really say so blatantly.

So there you have it. Look at yoru wife, brother, husband, sons and daughters. Look at the great men and women of history. Loot at science, art and love. Look at all of that and try to imagine that some pinhead thinks each of those humans around you is on an equal par with a sea slug, a worm or a fly larvae.
When you fail to convince yourself of that fiction, realize that some people will attempt to paint your inability to negate the importance and special place of those humans above the slug as a moral failing on your part.
Because they are out of their mind.
