Kent State : Show me the money!

While dethb0y is not a mainstream political blogger by any stretch but he is often pretty on target when he does delve into commentary. The current topic is the recent attempt to turn a tragedy from more than 20 decades ago into cold, hard cash. I suppose this sort of stuff will be more and more common as the victim culture looks to branch out into a full fledged industry.

The victimization deluge is already a huge gravy train… we have political committees, activist groups, politicians and of course lawyers just making a ton of cash. Add in all the people who are emotionally addicted to victimization and the various hangers on.

Do you really think any of those people will ever decide they have extorted enough from the rest of us? Never.

Let me give you the short form of what happened at Kent State. There are a whole lot of people who believe, down to their core, they they will be able to push a highly charged situation as hard as they can and never, every have to accept that bad things will happen whenever you do that. They will do so time and time again and then scream that it is societies job to protect them. They will tell us it is the job of the guardians of society to suck up all the shit they can throw at them and never, ever make a mistake.

If you take far too few National Guardsmen and put them in the path of far too many self important ‘protesters’ who have been organized by groups like A.N.S.W.E.R. who are trying to force a violent incident you will eventually get exactly that… a violent incident.

The truth is that those who died at Kent State were victims. Victims of the communist and socialist organizers who whipped them and thousands of others into a frenzy. Victims of those people who told them that they could be violent civilly disobedient with impunity. Victims of people who desperately wanted their blood on the grass so they could point and say “see! look what the fascists did!”.

They got what they wanted. They got their martyr’s.
