Radical Feminism – an oppressive religion

I’ve said it before, but hopefully it is becoming more and more obvious as things go on.

Radical feminism is a religion… and an oppressive one at that. It has its commandments, sinners, rituals, priests and priestesses. There is even a great little confession tradition in it and when you listen to many of them talk about their entrance into radical feminism it sounds exactly like those who feel they were “saved” or “born again”.

Like most religions radical feminism is based on the idea that some sins are simply so bad that one is poison to be around. Purity must be maintained. Foreign ideas and those who may hold them are so poisonous that their very touch will taint you. Anyone who disagrees with you has clearly been lead astray.

With me so far?

Let’s suppose your the woman running a shelter that is dedicated to helping other women who need it. Your resources are low, there is a lot of work to do. You have at your disposal a smart  hard working woman who has the time, desire and resources to help out. She helps clean. She helps with child care. She cooks and brings in food. She works hard and does her job competently.

Do you thank her? No. If your a radical feminist you tell her to leave and never return. You remove her from your sight and blame her for the evils that laid these women low. You toss her away because dammit she is an agent of Satan a tool of the patriarchy.  I mean, we can’t have those sorts of people around? Right?

Insanity. Fucking stupid, small minded zealotry.

Anyone with an I.Q. knows it is stupid. Anyone with the sense of a sea snail knows that this sort of fundamentalism is destructive. The hypocrisy of saying “I unquestioningly support all women! Except, you know, the bad ones” is so glaringly obvious it shouldn’t find any defenders, right?

Wrong.

Right on time we have a real live witness at the virtual door to preach the good word and bring on the (radfem) brimstone…

Needless to say the response from the rational to the insane ranting’s of the moronic crusader who penned the above idiocy are somewhat clearly on the “bite me” side.
