The “I Blame the Patriarchy” message board already looks to be a fine source of material.
“Why just a few months ago I was verbally trampled to little tiny bits at a “Take Back the Night” planning meeting when I said we shouldn’t allow men to march…are who we are taking the night back from. How is this not obvious. I am so freaking tired of this “what about the good non-rapist assholes”, as if they somehow have given up their ingrained male privilege.” – link
Being born male… an ingrained sin. Funny how a group that doesn’t believe in gender still manages to hate one.
But it’s ok… there is plenty of self loathing and internalized guilt for all!
“This is an excellent point. The fact is, we are all sexist – women and men. We have all been socialized by a sexist culture.
And we are all racist, and classist and ableist (etc).
When we don’t acknowledge this, that is when we get into trouble!” – link
If nothing else remember that as a man (even though gender doesn’t exist) you are always, always supposed to remember your place and your guilt.
“My dad will answer yes if someone asks if he is a feminist, but he will never claim the label independently. He acts the part to the extent he understands it, and humbles himself before more proficient blamers.” – link
Amazing.
