It looks like you got drawn into the “Ethel Spilotes” thing too, wondering where the fuck that was coming from. When I first came across it via Melissa Farley’s blog, my first thought was “there’s no way this is written by a 5th-grader”. (I think most people figure this out pretty quickly there’s a thread on Genderberg to that effect.)

With a little reading, I figured out that it was Betsy Salkind’s alter ego, and after reading about Salkind’s background, it all made sense.

I always hated “Rosanne” now I know why.
