9/11 denial – some people are too stupid to be anything but sad

9/11 has come and (almost) gone again. I don’t feel any need to put up another blog post stating the obvious in long detail. I’ll summarize my thoughts as they stand:

  • The United States is once again in a fight for our continued existence against an enemy (Muslim extremists and their allies) who will accept nothing but our total annihilation.
  • Success in the Middle East is critical to winning that struggle. We must fight for and keep our beachhead in the region (Iraq) and move on to the destruction of those other states in the region that seek our destruction (I’m looking at you, Iran).
  • Regardless of the results of a skillful public relations / propaganda push (by our enemy on one side and a Democratic party who will sacrifice almost anything to regain power) we are doing as well as can be expected in Iraq and the only way for us to lose is cut and run.

It’s really that simple… so this post isn’t about that. If you want to read some about that time in my life, you can read my articles from the time on my personal blog here.

Today as I drove I had the radio on the local “public” radio station, WBAI. They devoted the entire day to two things… fundraising and the support of insane conspiracy theories that leave tinfoil hat land far, far behind. It was sad, and it was funny.

Every time they beg for money WBAI to tell the audience that because the don’t accept commercials they are free from influences driven by money. It’s bullshit. They are completely driven by the need to kiss the ass of their funding sources. It’s just that their funding sources have almost no grip on reality… by that I mean the majority of their listeners.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. If you ever meet anyone who takes “loose Change” seriously, slap the crap out of them. You’ll be doing them a huge favor.
