Moveon.org shoots itself in the foot…
In what might be one of the least well considered PR moves of the last few years the idiots at Moveon.org poked their heads out of the online echo chamber they normally exist in and took out a full page ad in the New York Times attacking General Petraeus as a traitor.
Just about everyone who has a brain in their head or a political aspiration has condemned the ad or at least distanced themselves. The latter group (in both cases) includes John Kerry. who was way to wishy washy to actually go on record with anything like condemnation (no shock there) but he isn’t happy.
“I didn’t like the terminology,” he said. “I didn’t like it.” - John Kerry pretending to have a spine
Just for the lulz of it all (I hope) presidential candidare Fred Thompson called upon the Democrats who are currently ordering about $176,000 dollars in eat-it-off-a-naked-chick Sushi courtesy of MoveOn contributions to return the money in protest.
Yeah, that will happen.
The reasons for the ad are clear - the only platform the Democrats have in the coming election is defeatism, fear and cowardice. It is critical to them that we fail in Iraq. It is critical to their plans to force another Vietnam style cut and run. Make absolutely no mistake about it - the Democrats need us to lose this war and they will do all they can to assure that.
They might pretend that their MoveOn is a outside “loose cannon” organization and feign upset - but deep down they support it and I have no doubt they encourage the group.
