As I mentioned above, I am sure they will be blogging again soon. Till then, I hope that those of you who were friends continue to stay in touch privately. Frankly my issue is rarely with someone who decides to leave blogging. Blogging is not life, it is an aspect of life and sometimes that aspect needs to go on pause or stop. What has really gotten me about the flounces of late is the wailing and "what will we ever do without them" commentary. There is a collective level of drama that I think just isn't necessary. Then again, I am probably just displaying my normal lack of empathy. “You know what, soulhuntre: finally: piss off.”

I know you liked and respected some (all?) of these folks and I am sure with good reason. As I mentioned above, I am sure they will be blogging again soon. Till then, I hope that those of you who were friends continue to stay in touch privately.

The dramatic farewells are a tad much. You know these people google their names obsessively every day to see what's written about them and when the buzz dies down, they'll be back to stir it back up.
