If you are Al Sharpton tragedies like the Sean Bell incident are your life’s blood. Let’s face it, like other well known Reverends (Wright) needs anger, hatred and tragedy. Otherwise, he might have to get a real job.
Personally I never got the point of getting yourself arrested in some lame protest, but to Sharpton it is a critical event. he needs to refill his matyr-o-meter and get a lot more photos of himself taken. There are enough angry folks around him to provide an audience and accomplices.
It’s an interesting view of the world. Al Sharpton has a clear idea of how justice should be done… by the mob. If the mob hates you or needs you to be punished to appease a political agenda then you should be lynched. To hell with evidence, juries, judges and the law. Hell the Tawany Brawley case shows he doesn’t even really care if there was a crime at all.
If Al thinks your guilty then you should go to jail. If you don’t liek it he will raise a good old fashioned lynch mob and simply get more and more violent till he gets his way.
Or the money stops rolling in… either way.
