Obama’s Democrat Backlash Problem – We Had to Destroy the Party to Save it?

The harder the media and Democrat elite try and push saint Barack as the next President, the more they are alienating not only their own grassroots core but huge chunks of their party mainstream. As usual, some of the best reporting on all this has been done over at No Quarter USA.

“Fully 72% of the public – including comparable percentages of Democrats, Republicans and independents – say that journalists should not be anointing Obama as the Democratic nominee at this stage in the race. Just 20% say that journalists should be doing this.” – The Pew Research Center

That’s not just a vague sentiment. Individual Democrats are feeling betrayed.

“As soon I have voted in Oregon, I will be changing my affiliation to independent. I do not recognize the democratic party as sharing my values any more. Maybe next election cycle will see the emergence of a true viable third party. I do not want to vote Republican, but it won’t keep me from writing in Hillary Clinton in the fall.” – Pamela

The real question is why? Why is the Obama camp and the DNC so desperate to have this settle now?

For a while it seemed they were genuinely concerned about the damage the Clinton / Obama rift might have been doing to the party but their recent willingness to totally fracture that same party in their rush to anoint Obama gives lie to that excuse.  All they would have to do, if Obama has the support they claim, is let the process play out. They would have a unified base, Obama would be the nominee and all would be well.

But they aren’t going to do that.

Something has them scared. Something in Obama’s past maybe. Something about his policies or personality. Something has these guys so scared about continued public scrutiny of their candidate that they feel they need to shut down as much inquiry as they can. They need to close this discussion fast… but before what? What has them so scared that they would rather alienate entire states of voters rather than expose Obama to the intense glare of a contest with Hillary? The Obama image as a uniter is faltering. Increasingly he is being seen within his own party as a manipulator, a liar and a win at any cost political hack.

“We know, and increasingly the American people know, why Florida and Michigan are not being counted. Because Obama could not win those states – so disturbed DNC shills for Obama, like Donna Brazile, did whatever they had to do to shut out Florida and Michigan. Other states broke “the rules”. But only the states Obama could not win were punished. And punished 100%, contrary to their self-violated rules.

We also know why West Virginia and Kentucky (along with white working class voters, not to mention Latinos) have now joined Florida and Michigan in the “ignore” column – the 46 state strategy – and dropping.” – Hillary is 44

Personally, I think there is much more at play here. I think the DNC is in the middle of a takeover bid from within. The attempt to push Obama is the result of this, not the cause. Obama is the chosen poster boy of a movement within the DNC to take the party away from any semblance of moderation and deeply into the quagmire of victim / identity politics. The party is actively trying to purge itself of white, middle class voters and hand over the reigns to a group of people who think Obama’s association with terrorists and racists is a badge of honor not shame.

One thing is for sure, just like in the recent setbacks for Barack the blame will never be with their patron saint. They will shake their heads and blame “the racists” or “the media” or Hillary. Anyone except themselves.

Nice, but no conclusion!! When they lose us the white house, I hope the balanced people in the party grab the reins as the voters kick their asses out the door!!!!!!

I’ve always felt that they rigged this race against Hillary. Its a no brainer that MI. and Fl. were her demographics. Besides, weren’t there two other states that broke the rules? They have become a bunch of left wing facist, disenfranchising millions of voters, rigging elections, engaging in media driven voter suppression, race baiting and misogynistic swift-boating of Hillary. I never thought I’d ever see it, we always think of right wing facists. This bunch is out of control.

    Bingo.

But it won’t matter. Voters vote.

This coup is a case of delusional insider thinking.

    They have failed, already.
