Herd Watching

It is no secret that the far left (like the far right) is the nesting place of a whole range of crazies. The difference is that the DNC has been on the outside looking in for so long in many ways that they have become more deeply infested with their parasites than the Republicans have been.

When you add in a candidate like Obama who springboards off the craziest fraction of that and you wind up with a candidate who has a huge attraction for racists and haters of all types. Frankly, given how obvious this must be to the Obama campaign (they get the email, they meet these people) you kind of have to wonder what was on their minds giving these folks a forum, an official forum, to show us all how crazy they are. But they have.

Just for fun, do a search for the phrase “jewish+lobby” over on the barackobama.com website. It’s fairly instructive about the problem. This is not a fluke, this is a pattern.

Do I think Barack Obama is personally to be held accountable for every statement made by these idiots? of course not. It’s not like they were his close friends for 20 years, or he refwwerred to them as spiritual advisors. He has enough racists as friends, I doubt these fools are among them. The problem for me with this is that it calls Obama’s judgment and sympathies into question.

• What idiot thought providing open, unmoderated blog space on the official website for a presidential election was a good idea? Oh, wait, John Kerry did the same thing.
• What is it about Obama that the sheer number of Marxist, anti-Semitic and anti-white racist are drawn to him so strongly?
• How is it that these post survived for month and then were suddenly scrubbed (without comment I might add) as soon as they became noticed by the right. They also had the pull to get the Google cache scrubbed instantly – a feat that any of us mere mortals who have tried know is not a simple process.

Hmm… re-writing history and scrubbing the record. Yup, that sounds like change to me.

Personally? I think it is calculated ignorance and part of Obama’s normal “I didn’t know” excuse. Obama’s campaign has always been about offering back room support to the extremists as a way to gain access to their votes and money. He has catered to racists for example for more than 20 years and doesn’t look like he is planning on stopping any time soon. By offering this sort of platform for lunatics and then simply disowning then and scrubbing them if it causes trouble he gets the best of both worlds.
