In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man

“In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man” – Pamela Geller

As Palestine attempts to win statehood at the UN, we see many on the American fringes (left and right) dig out the same tired arguments on the topic that made them feel so sophisticated in their college poli-sci classes.

  • Israel is a land of evil bastards
  • Obama is totally folding and giving in to them and the Republicans (and “the Jews” of course)
  • Americans are somehow one of the causes of the problem (right after “the Jews” of course)
  • The poor, downtrodden and peace loving people of Palestine are getting a bum wrap

The thing is… it’s all bullshit. Let’s leave aside the obvious and rampant anti US sentiment (it’s so cliché it’s boring as shit to me). Let’s leave aside the complete lack of understanding of the history or real players in the conflict.

All that reality aside… we have a simple and clear choice… do we support the continued existence of an enclave of reasonable men… or do we support the barbaric mobs that wish to exterminate them and us.

Of course, for many in the US and around the world support for “Palestine” has absolutely nothing to do with the cause. it has everything to do with being anti-US, and thus against anything we choose to do on the world stage. That is the only explanation possible when you consider the cognitive dissonance of the position so many hold.

  • How is it possible that someone will claim that the US is “evil” for not supporting the rights of gays to get married and claim that Muslim extremist cultures like the Palestinians are reasonable and good when they EXECUTE HOMOSEXUALS as a cultural norm?
  • How is it possible that someone will claim the US is “evil” for not universally supporting the sexual freedoms of women in the form of abortion and then turn a blind eye to Muslim cultures that will STONE YOUNG GIRLS TO DEATH if they hold hands with the wrong boy (or any boy)?
  • How is it possible that someone will claim the US is “evil” for not separating “church and state” then support a Muslim culture that hands over so much power to the priesthood, to be judged according to holy law?

I could go on and on – but in the end there is only one answer… they don’t actually care (or willfully ignore) that if the culture they vilify and attack (the US and other Western nations) acted with even a fraction of the widespread barbarism shown by those cultures they so vehemently defend they would lose their f-ing minds screaming about it. You can double check this easily – go look at the thread. See how consistently the hatred for free states and cultures aligns with pro-Palestine stances. See the virulent hatred in their words – it si no wonder they find supporting terrorist cultures easy to do.

If the enemy of my enemy is my friend, then it stands to reason that the ally of my enemy is my enemy as well. The “Palestinians”, and the violent extremist culture they support and represent absolutely are the enemy of free, civilized and democratic cultures. Those who stand with them, those who enable and support them are also my enemy.
